Vickie is a 1999 graduate of OLOL College of Nursing, with over 20 years of experience as an RN. She began her career at OLOL Regional Medical Center on the cardiology unit. For the past 15 years, she has worked in home health care, serving as the primary RN field case manager, which has allowed her to provide hands-on care in the home setting.
Her experience and knowledge as a home health nurse makes for a smooth transition to hospice care. Patient care is her passion and with a strong Christian faith, she knows that caring for others in times of need is her true calling.
Her husband of 31 years, Ernie Verret, is also a lifelong Plaquemine resident. Together they have 3 grown children, Trey, Halie, and Abby, who all reside in Iberville Parish. She says, "As a family, we are super excited, proud, and blessed to be able to be a part of the Bridgeway Hospice family."
