He is originally from Breaux Bridge, Louisiana and graduated from high school in Cecilia. He joined the marines after high school, before attending college and graduating from LSU. He then attended Ross University School of Medicine in Edison, NJ where he graduated in 2012 and did his residency in Family Medicine at LSU Shreveport. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Joshua Huval, MD is a Family Medicine Specialist in Thibodaux, LA and has over 10 years of experience in the medical field. He is affiliated with Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. Dr. Huval joined Family Doctor Clinic in 2015 and lives in Thibodaux with his wife and two children. He joined the Bridgeway team as Medical Director in 2022.
