"I love working with Bridgeway because I enjoy empowering patients and their families in the final stages of life. As sad as hospice can sometimes be, I find joy in knowing that we are able to support our patients in carrying out their wishes. I love being a resource for our patients, their families, and our staff. "

Allison Kennedy, RN

Director of Nursing

Baton Rouge, LA

Allison was born and still currently resides in Walker, LA. She has a teenager son and is married to her college sweetheart. Allison went to Our Lady of the Lake College and graduated with her BSN in 2017. From there, she began her career as an ER nurse, knowing that she would eventually transition into hospice. This day came sooner than expected.

When she heard about a case manager position opening with Bridgeway, she could not refuse! With that being said, Allison took a leap of faith into learning everything I could about hospice in March 2021. As being a nurse for Bridgeway, she was then promoted to Director of Nursing as of September 2021.

With her new role as Director of Nursing, she is responsible for coordinating patient care between a great group of doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and hospice aides. She says, "I would trust each and every person on our team with caring for my own family in their final days."
