Bridgeway Healthcare and Hospice is a full service, licensed, and certified hospice company established in 2012. Bridgeway is unique in that it is locally owned and operated in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Plaquemine by a hospice nurse who has over 25 years of experience. Our team is committed to patient care, and they have an extraordinary passion for hospice.

Hospice Care is specialized care that can be referred to as palliative or comfort care. Hospice does not hasten death, yet offers a Bridgeway to comfort and dignity at the end of life. The care and service offered by Bridgeway is the treatment of symptoms associated with the hospice diagnosis with a focus on an overall improvement of quality of life. As one nears the end of life and modern medicine and treatment are no longer an option, our team can be there for you to provide comfort and companionship.

Monetary Donation

The likelihood that hospice patients can't afford care is greater than you may think. Monetary donations are generous offerings that provide solutions to indigent patients and their families that don't have the means to pay for the hospice care they need.

Two Ways to Contribute to a Better Bridgeway

Volunteer

The opportunity to provide service as a hospice volunteer is rewarding, but the benefits for patients and family members are even greater. Most volunteers experience a sense of personal reward and growth once they have given their time and compassion to those in need.

Principles That Guide Bridgeway Hospice?

Being locally owned and operated, we are not willing to lose touch with that family feel. Employees are an important value to the care we provide. We share each other's victories and struggles and pass our love for each other on to the families we serve. With that being said, we hold each other accountable to advance in personal growth areas, to become people of strong character and integrity.

We strive to empower our patients and their families to live with dignity and comfort as they face life-limiting illnesses. At Bridgeway, we believe information and education are integral components of empowerment.

Core Values of Bridgeway Hospice : The 5 C's

Commitment: Committed first and foremost to the delivery of Compassionate Care for all of our constituencies (patients, families, payors, community, and each other).

Compassion: Compassionate Care is at the very heart of what we do and why we exist. Compassionate Care values human dignity. It is doing the right thing for the right reason. It differentiates us from all other providers.

Competence: Competent Care is the first essential step in providing Compassionate Care. It is leading-edge and cost-competitive with any other credible provider.

Community: Community support is our ultimate edge in providing Compassionate Care. It enables us to constructively enlist the collaborative support of volunteers and other community entities, creating the capacity to meet community needs.

Creativity: Creativity is tapping the brilliance within ourselves and our community to generate ideas that will continually improve Compassionate Care in the face of all that might challenge it.
